It seems that a silver lining has emerged from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal family breakup announcement last week.

Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced on Wednesday that they were taking a step back from their roles as "senior royals," fans of the couple have flooded social media to rally behind their untraditional decision. Many chose to celebrate Meghan's innovative work as a duchess: In particular, devoted fans sent sales of her Together: Our Community Cookbook spiking, an Amazon representative confirmed to Harper's Bazaar.

Despite only officially joining the royal family in 2018, the former actress has focused much of her patronage work on female empowerment -- and her first royal solo project, with victims of the Grenfell Fire, is of particular significance.

In September 2018, Meghan launched Together: Our Community Cookbook, a collection of recipes from women whose families lived in the tower. Markle called her Amazon bestseller “a tremendous labor of love," with recipes from 12 different countries.

“The power of women. We make things happen. We’re curious, we say yes. We show up," she said at the launch of the book, which donates its proceeds to the Hubb Community Kitchen and its projects.

Sales for the publication surged since the announcement last week, mainly due to political commentator Damon Evans' tweet. It continues to be a No. 1 bestseller on Amazon.

"It’s not about what they’ve done wrong, it’s about what she represents: feminism, activism, diversity etc," Evans wrote last week. "All the things ‘they’ hate," he added, while commending Meghan's philanthropic work in places like Rwanda and her stance on feminism.

He continued:

"As a republican, this was a strange thread to put together. I don’t follow the Royals, and I didn’t know much about Markle before I watched a load of videos today. But now I understand why so many idiots hate her: she’s a decent woman."

Evans then ended the thread with a link to Markle's cookbook, saying purchasing it will "annoy the idiots."

The duchess has made numerous private visits to the Hubb Community Kitchen since first partnering with the center in 2018. On Thursday, a day after the couple said they were now splitting their time between North America and the United Kingdom, Harry and Meghan shared previously unpublished photos of their visit to the center earlier in the week.

"The Duke and Duchess were so happy to reconnect with the women and hear about the projects they continue to develop to help those in their community and beyond," they wrote.
