Samantha Cameron’s New Move After Leaving 10 Downing Street

Samantha Cameron is the ex-creative director of British heritage brand Smythson of Bond Street, cheerleader of British fashion, ambassador for the British Fashion Council, and wife of ex-prime minister of United Kingdom David Cameron. Now, this all-around busy lady with an impeccable style pedigree has launched her own contemporary womenswear brand called Cefinn — sweetly named after the initials of her children. During her time as the wife of the U.K. prime minister at 10 Downing Street (England’s version of the White House) Cameron learned a thing or two about being appropriately dressed for all occasions (she is a daughter of baronet, after all) as she juggled her time between home, work, and the state.

This collection is designed for the busy, modern woman who works, has a family, and loves fashion, but doesn’t obsess about it or become ruled by it. Net-A-Porter will carry 22 pieces of key work-wear staples that can be worn repeatedly, from blouses to skirts, dresses, suits, and knitwear.

Cameron says, “I wanted to create an urban uniform for busy women who love fashion. I felt there was a gap in the market for a designer British brand at a contemporary price point offering a capsule wardrobe that takes you from day to evening.” She’s made Vanity Fair’s list as one of the most stylish women in the world and got advice from none other than Anna Wintour, so I guess no pressure about this debut at all.

The collection will be available from Net-A-Porter and cefinn.com and will be priced between $120 and $350.
