Thank god for the SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker shoe flagship store in Manhattan. Not just because we can shop SJP shoes there but also because it's given us so many Sarah Jessica Parker in Sarah Jessica Parker while visiting Sarah Jessica Parker looks. You know the deal.
While at the store yesterday, Sarah Jessica Parker was seen in a hot pink face mask, likely by Masqd, her go-to brand, while styling two controversial pieces on top of each other: cargo pants and tall sparkly boots.
Cargo pants are tough, either you look iconic and make history like Jennifer Aniston in her orange pair from the '90s, or you look a little bit too much like Kim Possible. Since Parker's cargo pants were green, they did run the risk of making you think call me beep me if you wanna reach me upon seeing them. But her unexpected styling with tall glitter boots, by SJP herself of course, elevates them to another realm untouched by cartoons entirely.
As for the glitter boots, they can either call to mind Anne Hathaway's perfect wearing of the Chanel boots in The Devil Wears Prada or someone's Sweet Sixteen. But, of course, SJP's genius styling keeps the dramatic trend surprisingly low-key and something Miranda Priestly would probably be into. In typical SJP by SJP at SJP fashion, it all just works.
