There's no doubt that this year's Emmys — which is taking place virtually due to the pandemic — will be one we talk about for decades. But as we gear up for the 2020 awards show, wondering how exactly fashion will come into play, we're also reflecting back, thinking about the gowns and accessories that once graced the actual red carpet.
One person who always steps out in memorable looks, both at events and in everyday life (those gray jeans!), is Sarah Jessica Parker. While the ballerina-like dress she wore to the 2000 Emmy Awards is one that's talked about often, we're also pretty fond of her simpler, sequined, yellow number from 1999.

The actress went for understated glamour that year, but of course, chose to amp up her outfit with statement-making, metallic green footwear. Looking at the slightly babydoll shoe, we were immediately reminded of heels and slides from her SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker line (Shop Similar: $219; amazon.com).
Parker was even spotted out in similar green shoes in July 2020.
