When Memorial Day hits, you may find yourself in need of a new American flag or other accessories that will help you honor those who bravely fought for our freedom. If you have to pick up anything at all, you can can head to The Home Depot because it will be open on Memorial Day.

What are The Home Depot's Memorial Day hours?

Like Walmart and Target, most Home Depots will be operating during their normal business hours, which are usually 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Of course, before making ample space in your truck and heading out, you should call your local store or check the company’s website to be certain.

Most customer service inquiries — including those about order status, return policies, and account management — can be answered through the website, in case you don't feel like making a trip to the store. The Home Depot also offers text support.

What other stores are open on Memorial Day?

If there isn't a Home Depot near you or it just doesn't have what you need, these stores will also be open on Monday, May 31:

  • Aldi: Most stores are open for limited hours.

  • Bed Bath & Beyond: Most stores are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m

  • CVS: Most stores are open 24 hours. Please call ahead for pharmacy schedule.

  • Kroger: Most stores are open from 6 a.m. to 1 a.m.

  • Publix: Most stores are open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Target: Most stores are open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • Trader Joe's: Most stores are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Walmart: Most stores are open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.

  • Whole Foods: Most stores are open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m
