Deborah J. Wilson is a seamstress in Texas who has owned her own costume company, Lulu’s Petals, for about 10 years. She makes custom costumes for children, women, and even dolls with a focus on historical and festival wear. But just this week she added to her list of clientele when she made a dress for her daughter’s pet bearded dragon, Leviticus.

Referred to as her “grand-lizard,” Leviticus belongs to Wilson’s daughter and her boyfriend, making the seamstress the reptile’s grandmother. So while Leviticus is currently visiting grandma for a two-week stretch, she’s naturally spoiling him in the way that she knows best: with clothes.

“The first morning he was here, my daughter was sleeping late, so I mused on Facebook that I was cueing up endless cartoons, candy and no rules fun for my grand-lizard,” Wilson told Yahoo Style. Then she thought, “If I’m going to spoil him, he should be well dressed for the experience.”

With the thought of dressing him in mind, Wilson picked up some fabric and began cutting and stitching until she created a little polka dot dress. Of course, a photo posted to her Facebook followed.

“The dress was such a big hit, that I plan to make him some more outfits during his stay,” she said.

According to the over 100 favorites on her son’s Tweet about the event, many are agreeing that Leviticus might be the best-dressed bearded dragon around. No contest.
