See Kourtney Kardashian’s Heart-Adorned Courthouse Wedding Minidress
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got legally married yesterday in a small courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara, California. Paparazzi captured the surprise nuptials, including what Kourtney wore to make it official with her now-husband.
Kourt opted to wear a veil and a white sleeveless minidress with a heart pendant. She accessorized with long white fingerless gloves. Her dark hair was styled up, with two loose strands framing her face, and her makeup was more natural and minimal rather than statement-making.
This hasn’t been—and won’t be—Kourtney’s only wedding to Travis, her first-ever husband. A source told People that the couple is planning a larger ceremony in Italy. “They had to legally get married first ahead of their big Italian wedding, which is happening very soon,” the source said of why the Santa Barbara courthouse ceremony happened. “All the details are set and the whole family, including all the kids, are very excited.”
A source additionally spoke to E! about how Kourtney feels now that she’s Mrs. Travis Barker. “Kourtney is over the moon and so excited to start this next chapter with Travis,” the source said. “They were excited about this day and madly in love.”
Kourt and Trav had a “practice” wedding before in Las Vegas after the Grammys. While news outlets initially reported it was a real wedding, Kourtney revealed on her Instagram that the two didn’t have a marriage license, so therefore it wasn’t a legally binding ceremony.
She shared photos and wrote, “Found these in my camera roll. Once upon a time in a land far, far away (Las Vegas) at 2 a.m., after an epic night and a little tequila, a queen and her handsome king ventured out to the only open chapel with an Elvis and got married (with no license). Practice makes perfect.”
