See what two-year-old Prince Alexander is doing on his first royal engagement

Prince Alexander may be just two years old, but he's ready to start taking on royal responsibilities - with dad Prince Carl Philip and mom Princess Sofia in tow, of course! The Swedish palace has announced that the adorable tot will step out on Aug. 23 for some outdoor fun on the southeastern coast of his country.

From the day His Royal Highness Prince Alexander of Sweden was born, the blonde cutie has delighted fans of the Swedish family, and now some of his admirers will have a chance to meet the little boy during a walkabout in the Nynäs nature reserve. He is also expected to take part in some of the country's beloved outdoor activities.

As the Duke of Södermanland, this will be the first official visit by Prince Alexander to his duchy, something that his cousins also did at the same tender age. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel's daughter Princess Estelle, now six, took an official trip to her duchy back in 2014. The two-year-old visited Linkoping castle, in the province of Östergötland, where the future queen happily accepted flowers and shook hands as she smiled from ear to ear.

Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neill's little girl, Princess Leonore, kicked off her shoes to visit a horse farm in her duchy of Gotland in 2016, where she got close to the horses and frolicked in the grass. The trio then had lunch at the Visby residence, where the then-two-year-old clung to her mother's leg in a shy moment.

In Britain, future king Prince George took on his first official outing at an even earlier age while on tour in Australia and New Zealand. At just eight months old, the third-in-line to the throne joined his mom Kate for a playdate with ten other families in Wellington, where he made quite the impression as "quite a bruiser," according to one parent.

He then stepped out for his first official UK engagement in July of 2016, visiting the Royal International Air Tattoo. After a reassuring cuddle from mom Kate, the two-year-old had a blast hopping in and out of various aircrafts alongside his parents. He became so confident that he was ready to take flight! "Mummy, can I fly the Red Arrow now?" he asked, and Prince William replied, "Not right now."
