According to People, Madison and her friend Hailey Bieber — yes, the wife of Selena's ex-boyfriend, Justin Bieber — were seen having dinner together at the iconic L.A. restaurant Craig's. No big deal, right? However, Selena's Rare album release party was taking place at the same restaurant at the same time. Awkward! Some fans thought this was an intentional jab at Selena, and they took to Madison's most recent Instagram post to express their anger in the form of snake emojis. (Where have we seen that before?)
However, Madison stepped in to set the record straight, writing on the post, “These rumors are getting insane.. I just had dinner with my friend hailey of 10 years… and that’s it? How is that a crime? I love selena.. always have. (as y’all know.) and I would literally never in a million years try to upset her??? that is just mean and unnecessary and nothing happened. it was just a coincidence, you’re bullying me for no reason…”
As People reported, Madison wasn't the only one commenting about the dinner. Selena herself replied to the comments in Madison's defense. "This is disgusting reading all of this. This wasn't intentional whatsoever. I’m so disappointed that people would speak to someone like this,” she wrote. “I have known Madison since she was a baby and watched her continue to become the woman she is. There is no issue.”
There you have it! It's a great reminder that even if you really love a celebrity, it's best to stay out of their personal lives and refrain from creating unnecessary drama; it's not fair to the celebrity to blow things out of proportion. The best thing to do is support them and their work, and give them the respect they deserve.
