Selena Gomez just nailed the perfect winter makeup look
OK, we might have had the warmest New Year’s Day on record but it’s getting a bit chilly now, right?
If my Weather app is anything to go by, we’re going to be experiencing some minus Celsius temperatures this week (sob), Christmas and New Year is done and dusted – and so, we are officially in the flow of winter, folks.
I know it’s cliché, but I love using a new season as an excuse to switch up the contents of my makeup bag. At this time of year, my skin veers on the drier, duller side of things and so, I love makeup that makes me look a bit fresher (and not like I’m struggling to fix my sleeping pattern after 3am bedtimes during the holiday break).
Plus, putting on some makeup while working from home just makes me feel like I have my life together a bit. So, I’m on the hunt for makeup inspo and I think I may have just stumbled across the perfect winter makeup look during one of my Insta scrolls.
Celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo posted a snap of the gorgeous makeup look he created on Selena Gomez. In the caption, he wrote: “First day back to work in 2022!
#SelenaGomez (@selenagomez)❤️🌟✨⚡️💫⭐️”.
In the pic, Selena has matte skin with a hint of pink blusher that gives the same fresh-faced effect as when the wind hits your cheeks a bit (you know what I mean). She also has winged eyeliner that starts half-way across her lash line, feathered eyebrows and the perfect shade of nude lipstick.
In the caption, Hung revealed that all of the product he used are from Selena’s own brand Rare Beauty. Unfortunately, Rare Beauty isn’t yet currently available in the UK but we’re hoping (and praying) that’ll change very soon.
Selena, please consider this our official petition to get Rare Beauty in the UK, ASAP…
