‘Serene sanctuary’ where Emily Blunt, John Krasinski lived, lists in Los Angeles: $6M

A redesigned 1965 mid-century modern hilltop hideaway in Southern California — once owned by actors Emily Blunt and John Krasinski — has hit the market for $6 million, according to Compass real estate firm.

The single-level, four-bedroom, four-bathroom home sits on .37 acres just off Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles, California. The residence spans 3,657 square feet.

“This a serene sanctuary, tucked behind a privacy hedge at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac,” listing agent Ruben Perez of Compass said in a news release. “This Hollywood Hills home affords seamless indoor and outdoor flow on an oversized double lot and resort-like backyard with saltwater pool and picturesque views of mountains, canyon and city skyline.”

Blunt and Krasinki bought the property in 2014 for $2.57 million, the New York Post reported, citing property records. The couple sold it in 2016 for $3.5 million.

Now, the quiet retreat is ready for another chapter. Potential home buyers might find a competitive market in the Laurel Canyon area of Los Angeles where the home (2410 Crest View Drive) is located, Perez said.

“Inventory is still very limited in Upper Laurel Canyon in the Hollywood Hills,” he said. “Sophisticated buyers are competing over any property that is standing out in terms of location, size, layout and views. Homes continue to transaction at record prices per square foot with a Case Study House that recently sold at $2,000 per-square-foot in the area.”

At the asking price of $6 million, the Crest View home is selling for $1,641 per square foot.
