Share The Time You Taught Someone Something That They Should've Known Years Earlier

It's impossible to know EVERYTHING in the world, but there are some things that are common knowledge.

So we want to know: What is something you had to teach someone that they should have known about WAY earlier in life? Maybe you kept hearing your friend say, "play it by year" and you had to tell them it's "play it by ear"...

Maybe you were shocked that your friend didn't know tampons should not be flushed down the toilet.
