Dozens of new restaurants opened across South Florida in 2024. And while we couldn’t try all of them (yet), five new spots stood out to us as our favorites.

They included a pandemic pop-up turned gorgeous steakhouse with a retro-Florida dining room, an island-inspired restaurant from one of Miami’s most ambitious chefs, an intimate spot with a remarkable menu in South Miami, a returning favorite from a Miami legend, and an unforgettable Fort Lauderdale steakhouse with Miami pedigree.
