Shay Mitchell shares candid glimpse into pregnancy with fans: 'This is so true'

Shay Mitchell is letting fans in on the reality of being pregnant with her second child.

On Friday, the 34-year-old actress shared a set of photos with fans that show what's behind the smoke and mirrors of a Hollywood glam team. In the first photo, Mitchell is seen posing in an elevator wearing a sparkling mini-dress following an appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live" in New York. In the second, Mitchell is seen laying in bed wearing a face mask and sweatpants, showing off her baby bump.

"11:58 vs 12 a.m.," Mitchell captioned the post.

The "Pretty Little Liars" star's post was met with praise from fans for her transparency, as well as messages from moms who relate to feeling depleted energy wise.

"Get you a girl that can do both," one Instagram user joked, while another added, "Always keeping it real."

"The fact that this is so true," someone said.

"Most relatable thing I’ve seen all day," another echoed.

Other fans couldn't help but marvel at the actress's ability to go full glam in heels during her third trimester of pregnancy.

"You’re out that late! Impressive. I would say 8:58 vs 9 p.m.," a fan said.

"Mama wearing heels? Yes!" one penned.

"Absolutely gorgeous as always," a follower added. "Love your baby bump."

Mitchell's latest post comes just days after sharing another photo about the less "glamorous" side of pregnancy.

"I never appreciated a couch in a store...until my third trimester," she captioned a photo of herself in a mask, sunglasses and sweatpants, sitting on a couch, baring her baby bump.

The Canadian star has been vocal about navigating motherhood under the constant pressure to "perfect." In 2021, Mitchell revealed her own personal philosophy to parenting that she said she adopted form her own mom.

"Just trying not to be perfect and knowing that what you're doing is enough and going with your instincts. That was my mom's whole vibe. She was like, 'You're always going to be hard on yourself if you're trying to be perfect. No one's ever perfect, but that's what makes funny stories in the end,'" Mitchell told Elle. "You know you give them love. That's all that they want and need. It helped out, especially in the first year when you're trying to do everything and do it perfectly. It's nice to know that there's no such thing as perfect."
