Shop 27 summer bags inspired by Pippa Middleton, Gabrielle Union, and more

When it comes to finding the summer’s “it” bags, the runways and fashionable celebs provide a world of inspiration.

So what’s on trend this summer? For one, woven bags are key — as seen in the Miu Miu, Dior, and Loewe spring/summer 2018 collections. Recently, Pippa Middleton sported a woven crossbody bag to the French Open. In May, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke carried a woven tote bag with a classic trench and jeans while strolling around New York City.

Transparent bags are a hot trend this summer as well. The clear bags were popularized by French houses Chanel and Céline and have been spotted on fashion influencers such as Aimee Song, who carried a clear bucket-bag version during Paris Fashion Week.

Another popular carryall that’s making a comeback: the bucket bag. Reintroduced by Italian label Mansur Gavriel in 2013, bucket bags have taken on new shapes, colors, and materials this season, providing a much-needed refresher to the classic summer bag silhouette. New brand Cesta Collective has put its own spin on the classic bucket shape by working directly with Rwandan artisans who hand-weave and dye the label’s unique sisal bucket bags. British label Danse Lente is another newcomer that has created its own wrist-style bucket bags. The brand counts Gabrielle Union as a fan.

Ahead, shop the 27 best “it” summer bags of the season inspired by Middleton, Clarke, Union, and more.
