With more than 4,000 reviews (and counting) and an 4.6 star average rating, these slip-ons are no ordinary ballet flats. According to the Everlane website, “the Day Glove is made of buttery soft leather that molds to your foot for a perfect, custom fit.” They shoes, which are the brand’s no. 1 best-seller, are available in 16 colours, and come in women’s sizes 5-11, meaning every woman can find the flats of her dreams.
Shoppers are loving the comfort and everyday wearability of their Day Gloves, with one happy customer writing, “These shoes are so comfortable yet stylish. I can walk/stand in them all day, and they are really easy to dress up or dress down. I have two pairs of the Day Glove and I'm hopeful to order a third pair in mauve once they are restocked!”
Though they are meant to be a snug fit, customers with wide feet have noted that sizing up a half size gave them the best fit and extra room. “This flat does narrow so I suggest sizing up a half size or full size depending on your foot width,” writes one reviewer. “My feet aren’t super narrow and I still love these shoes.”
The Day Glove retails for $150 CAD ($115 USD) and are made from 100 per cent Italian leather, which typically sells for $240 in a traditional retail environment. Thanks to Everlane’s modified profit margins and direct-to-consumer business model, they’re able to keep prices low and quality high.
