The Duchess of Sussex delighted the audience at the British Fashion Awards on Monday night, with a surprise appearance to present an award to her wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller.

The artistic director for Givenchy received the British Designer of the Year for womenswear award and Meghan proudly showed off her growing baby bump in a black one-shoulder gown by the French fashion house.

Her pregnancy glow wasn’t the only thing we noticed. The Duchess teamed her dress with strappy gold Tamara Mellon sandals and matching bangles and stud earrings by Pippa Small.

Meghan is renowned for wearing up and coming jewellery designers but there’s something particularly special about the pieces she was wearing for the awards night at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Her small ‘Wajiha,’ cuff and ‘Oshna’ and ‘Omeen’ bangles, with her ‘Nosheen’ earrings were made by artisans of the Turquoise Mountain foundation for ethical brand Pippa Small.

The organisation was established by Prince Charles in 2006 to invest in historic areas and traditional crafts, to provide jobs and skills. They work to train and employ young men and women in Afghanistan and other conflict areas.

Pippa Small tweeted last night: “Honoured to see the beautiful Duchess of Sussex wearing our bangles and stud earrings proudly made by artisans of the Turquoise Mountain foundation in Afghanistan.”

We reckon Meghan’s father-in-law will be very pleased with her jewellery choices.
