SINGAPORE — A dedicated skateboarding facility will open at a mall in Selegie on 1 October.

Opened by Por Vida Skateboarding, a local skateboarding school, the facility comprises a 6,708 square feet skatepark located in the basement of GR.iD Mall, and can accommodate up to 35 people.

Among the skate obstacles at the skatepark include mini ramps, quarter pipes, flat bank, flat bar and rails, manual pad, benches, ledges and wave ramp. Other than skateboarding, the skatepark is also open to those who prefer rollerblading or roller skating, as well as other land board sports such as longboarding and surf skating.

Users can rent gears or buy gears at the facility.

Pham Tan, founder of Por Vida Skateboarding, said, “With Por Vida Skateboarding Indoor Park and School being an indoor and centrally-located space, we hope to welcome skateboarders of all ages and skill levels with a thoughtfully-designed skatepark that features a wide variety of fun skate obstacles.”

The park entrance fee is $15 for two hours. Non-private and private skateboarding classes at different levels are available for solo students or groups.
