Solange Is Joining the Ranks of Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna with This Major Award

Solange Knowles consistently delivers one flawless look after the other. And we're not just talking about her outfits, people. The style icon has influenced the culture from head to toe. One moment she's making us all want to go blonde with her beautiful platinum braids. And the next, she's got us heading to the store to buy duckbill clips. (I, personally, will forever be in love with the cover of A Seat at the Table.) So, of course, we freaked when we heard that Solange will be honored at the 70th Annual Parsons Benefit alongside Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzarri and Farfetch Founder and CEO José Neves.

"We are thrilled to be honoring Solange for her notable contributions to the music and fashion industries, and Gucci and Farfetch for their deep commitment to fostering innovative and inclusive design," says Joel Towers, executive dean of Parsons School of Design. “Parsons was founded upon the idea that design can change the world, and our honorees are creating positive change that will impact the industry for years to come.”

We couldn't agree more. Now, we'll just have to sit tight to see what type of fashion magic Solange will whip up for the ceremony, which will be held on Monday, May 2 at Pier Sixty in New York City.
