Free-agent swingman Glenn Robinson III is finalizing a two-year, $8.3 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Pistons will hold an option on the second year of the deal, league sources said.
Robinson’s agents, Jelani Floyd, Daniel Poneman, Mike Naiditch and EJ Kusnyer, worked with Pistons officials Sunday to finalize the deal. The contract represents financial security for Robinson, and the Pistons will bolster their depth on the wing.
Robinson, 24, played 23 games last year in his third season with the Indiana Pacers, averaging 4.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 14.7 minutes.
In four seasons with Minnesota, Philadelphia and Indiana, Robinson has career averages of 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds.
He was the 40th overall selection in the 2014 NBA draft out of Michigan.
