Stranger Things is getting ready to debut its long-awaited fourth season and one of its stars has promised it will be the "most bizarre ever".
Sadie Sink, who plays Max Mayfield in the Netflix fantasy horror, gave a sneak preview of what fans can expect from the new episodes - although she couldn't give much away, other than that it will be utterly terrifying.
The 20-year-old told People: "It's the most bizarre season we've ever had. Just the scale of it is out of this world."
Her character Max's brother Billy was killed by the dreaded Upside Down monster the Mind Flayer last season, but Sink has said that a creepy new villain making its debut in season four is "really scary".
She added: "We get to explore a lot of different themes and different sides of the characters that everyone knows and loves, so I'm looking forward to it."
A recent Stranger Things season four trailer showed Max sitting by Billy's grave as she told him that a lot had changed since she lost him.
Fans will also have noticed that Max was levitating by the grave, although Sink refused to be drawn on what was going on there.

Keeping the new plot twists tightly under wraps, she said: "I can't say anything about the floating. That's a wild episode though."
The trailer teased that show star Millie Bobby Brown's character Eleven would be living far away from her close-knit group of friends after the events of the last series, with Dr Sam Owen telling her: "A war is coming. I'm afraid your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of the storm."
Details on the storyline may be light, but it seems that it won't be long before Eleven makes her way back to Hawkins to help out her old gang - including foster father Hopper (David Harbour), who is being kept in a Russian prison after his brush with the Upside Down.
Stranger Things is set to end after five seasons and will begin streaming season four on Netflix on 27 May.
