Strictly Come Dancing has announced what the remaining couples will be dancing to this weekend in a bid to get through to musicals week.

Next weekend's show is a milestone in the BBC One contest as a popular theme week that sees the pairs take on routines inspired by hit musical shows.

But to get there, they'll first have to navigate this weekend's dance off and the performances they are hoping will keep them out of the bottom two.

AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington are heading back into their dramatic comfort zone with a Paso Doble to Game of Survival by Ruelle.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice, the only contestants so far to have scored a perfect 40, will be bidding to repeat the high mark with a Couple's Choice routine to Symphony by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson.

They'll be facing tough competition from John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, dancing the Samba to Acuyuye by DLG.

Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin faced the dance off last week but were saved as Adam Peaty and Katya Jones were sent home, and this week will be hoping to redeem themselves with a Quickstep to I Won't Dance by Damita Jo.

Sara Davies and Aljaž Skorjanec are presenting another dramatic routine with an Argentine Tango to No More Tears (Enough is Enough) by Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand.

The latest couple to take on the fun of the Charleston are Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu, who will dance to The Charleston by Bob Wilson and his Varsity Rhythm Boys.

Finally, the remaining two couples are both brushing up on their ballroom - Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova will dance the American Smooth to King of the Road by The Proclaimers, while Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden have a Viennese Waltz to Iris by Goo Goo Dolls.

Last week marked the halfway point of the competition, where traditionally Strictly would have been headed out on tour for the Blackpool show at the Tower Ballroom.

However, for a second year in a row the Blackpool show was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
