This stylish Brickell spot for luxurious dinner parties is closing temporarily

Miami’s Marion is taking a break.

Known for its Asian-American fare (especially sushi) and Thursday night dinner parties, the glamorous restaurant and nightlife spot at the Axis Brickell, which opened in 2015, is closing for the summer in order to undergo a complete renovation.

Founder and CEO of Mr. Hospitality Miami Mathieu Massa said it’s time for Marion to make a change. Mr. Hospitality also operates Lafayette Steakhouse in Brickell and the opulent Queen Miami in Miami Beach.

“Our vision has always been to push boundaries and redefine hospitality,” he said in a statement. “So, in celebration of Marion’s upcoming 10-year milestone, we’ve decided to raise the bar even higher and evolve with our beloved city we proudly call home.”

The restaurant and lounge, which has been home to DJs, dancers, burlesque performers and other entertainers, will also update its menu and beverage program.

Before the closing, though, Marion plans to throw a bash. There will be parties on June 21 and 22, thrown with the usual Marion abandon.

“We’re not saying goodbye,” Massa said. “We’re setting the stage for a new era, and we’re thrilled to be able to continue to innovate and inspire in the ever-evolving landscape of hospitality.”
