This Suitcase Can Double As a Desk While You Travel

Samsara, the “world’s first aluminum smart suitcase” is for travelers who want to stay productive while they’re on the road. The super light, compact suitcase has a flat top that can double as a desk, and power ports for you to charge all your devices so you can stay connected wherever you go.

The Samsara, which comes in a sleek silver or matte black, is made out of an aluminum alloy that combines Titanium, Magnesium and Zinc, making it super durable, lightweight and fireproof, according to the Samsara campaign on Kickstarter.

The suitcase also comes with an app that allows you to optimize how you use it. With the app, you can set a distance and open alert, just in case you’re separated from your Samara or if it’s opened without your knowledge. The app also monitors the suitcase’s battery power.

The wheel design, according to the company, is also unique, claiming not only a smoother drag but also an additional four liters (one gallon) of packing space, equaling a grand total of 38 liters (10 gallons) of packing space in the entire case.

All this innovation comes at a price: A Samsara suitcase retails at $690.

So far, the Kickstarter has raised over $150,000. Ten times its $15,000 goal. Never underestimate the power of productivity — especially when it comes to your airport layover.
