David Corenswet is playing the title role, while The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan is Lois Lane. Also in the photo are Skyler Gisondo (Jimmy Olsen), Anthony Carrigan (Metamorpho), Edi Gathegi (Mister Terrific), Nathan Fillon (Guy Gardner), Isabela Mercad (Hawkgirl) and more.

Superman Legacy is the first feature title in the new Gunn and Peter Safran-run DC Universe. “It’s not an origins story, it focuses on Superman’s balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He’s the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way, he’s kindness in a world that thinks of kindness as old fashioned,” said Safran at the January 2023 DC presser.

As Deadline first told you in recent weeks, House of the Dragon‘s Milly Alcock nabbed the coveted role of Supergirl. lcock’s Supergirl will appear in a DC-based project before headlining her own movie, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrowbased on Tom King’s 2022 comic book. No director has been selected for that project, though an autumn start for the movie is being eyed.
