Benson and Stabler are at it again, but instead of fighting crime, they're stirring up trouble at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Law & Order's Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni can't be stopped. The two were attached at the hip as they arrived to the Emmys red carpet and they. shut. it. down! Meloni opted for a suave look in a black tux and bowtie. And as for Hargitay, when she arrived, fans simply couldn't contain themselves.
Can we hear a little commotion for that dress?! The 58-year-old actress looked stunning in a sparkling, floor length gown designed with a deep V-neck to show off her jewels and leg slit for that extra "wow" factor.
Inside during the show, the partners in crime presented the award for lead actor in a comedy series, but not before embarking on a police chase to catch a thief while simultaneously teasing their spin-off series Law & Order: Organized Crime.
Following a preview of the new crossover event, cameras showed a thief stealing an Emmy award. Cameras pan over to Mariska, who's caught relaxing with her legs on top of Chris and argues, "Do we ever get a night off?"
After making a few comments about how great of a team they make,
Benson and Stabler Hargitay and Meloni teased SVU fans as they leaned in for a kiss, but quickly pulled away to announce the category's nominees. It's been over two decades and we're still waiting on the edge of our seats to see if an undeniable romance ever blossoms between their beloved on-screen characters.

At the end of the night, the two friends were still inseparable. Mariska posted this good night post to Instagram that fans went nuts for (us included!).
"And THAT's how you Emmys!" commented one person. "Mariska ma'am!!! You did not come to play tonight!! Talk about slaying a look!!! You snatched my wig clean off! 😂😂 Just GORGEOUS and GLOWING Queen!! ❤️🔥👑😍," joked another. "😍 perfection in one picture" and "The best dressed tonight 👏❤️🥺," said others.
