From Town & Country

Days after we saw Crown Princess Victoria at the Nobel Prize Ceremony-wearing her mother's Nina Ricci gown, no less-we're being treated to two sweet photos of her children.

To commemorate St. Lucia Day, the official Swedish royal family Instagram account shared a slideshow of the young royals celebrating in full holiday garb. Although largely unheard of stateside (unless you're a fan of the American Girl doll Kirsten, that is), St. Lucia Day is quite the big deal in Sweden.

On December 13, the country commemorates St. Lucia, one of the earliest Christian martyrs, with a festival. The holiday is centered around children: girls wear white dresses and lighted wreaths, and often serve coffee and baked goods, while boys wear all-white ensembles and sing traditional songs. For many in Sweden, St. Lucia day marks the beginning of the holiday season.

So naturally, royal children get into the spirit as well. The Instagram photos, taken by Crown Princess Victoria herself, show Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar sporting some adorable St. Lucia costumes. Estelle holds a basket of baked goods (likely saffron bread, or lussekatter), while Oscar carries a gold star. The first image in the slideshow is more posed, while in the second they get a little looser-and Estelle's big smile reveals a cute missing tooth.

The Instagram account also shared a video of schoolchildren at Stockholm's Lilla Akademien performing for the holiday. (No, it's not six-year-old Estelle's school-that would be Campus Manilla). Even if they're not royal, though, it's still pretty adorable to see kids take part in the St. Lucia tradition.
