Donatella Versace

  • Donatella Versace Wore Basically the Same Dress She Designed for Michelle Obama

Donatella Versace was a stunner in a slinky number at the amfAR gala. Donatella Versace turned out at Wednesday night’s amfAR gala looking oh, so very Donatella. The shiny number was another stunning look for Versace and looked a lot like the rose-gold dress Michelle Obama wore to the Italian state dinner last October.

  • Donatella Versace's transformation over the years

Donatella Versace has been at the helm of one of Italy’s leading fashion houses since 1997 – the year her brother Gianni was tragically murdered. Always designing clothes that aim to empower women and give them freedom, Donatella is a prime example of not pleasing anyone but yourself. Now 61, she has certainly transformed over the years and is (unfortunately) primarily known for her cosmetic appearance. With a book on the way and Lady Gaga playing her in an upcoming crime series, we run through her various looks over the years.

  • Gigi, Zayn And Bella Take To London Fashion Week, Cause A Stir At The VERSUS Versace Show

London Fashion Week never draws in quite as many celebrities as New York Fashion Week. The Italian brand, which celebrates its 20th birthday this year, has shown in Paris for the last few seasons, but Donatella made the decision to bring her SS17 show to London - much to our delight. The show played out without the leadership of Anthony Vaccerllo, following his appointment as Hedi Slimane’s successor at Saint Laurent.

  • J.Lo Brings the Bling to Vegas

Jenny just found herself on a new block! On Wednesday, J.Lo kicked off her Las Vegas residency for Jennifer Lopez: All I Have, making her mark on the storied strip just like fellow songstresses Cher, Mariah, and Céline. And it wouldn’t be a Lopez production without costumes that are bright, tight, and sparkly. Before slipping into a form-fitting Gabriela Cadena white dress to celebrate her opening night, the 46-year-old (what!?) took to the stage in seven next-to-naked (plus or minus some pelage and plumage) ensembles created by some of her favorite designers. Zuhair Murad was the force behind three looks. Another three, designed by Donatella Versace with the help of costume designers Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, were emblazoned with 260,000 Swarovski crystals in a wide range of colors to make crystal-mesh panels and 100 feet of jeweled chains. As if those numbers don’t subdue the surprise factor, Vogue reports that the three outfits took more than 1,400 hours and over two months to create. Just because she sang “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” doesn’t mean the same holds true for the bedazzling costumes!Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest for nonstop inspiration delivered fresh to your feed, every day.
