A Toronto man says his human rights were violated when he was told by UPS Canada that he needed to be clean shaven if he wanted a seasonal job at the company. Allan Stokell, 68, told the Toronto Star that he’s proud of his beard — and isn’t that interested in shaving it. Internships: An opportunity or an exploit?
Six years ago I decided I wanted to pursue fashion journalism. The opinions surrounding internships are scattered and conflicting. This issue recently and most prominently came to light in journalism circles two years ago when news spread that Condé Nast was discontinuing their internship program after two former interns sued the media company for unfair wages.
