    Weird diets celebrities swear by

Let’s face it: celebrities are weird. Sure, they’re probably normal folks (well, some of them), but their eccentric and often absurd nutrition regimes are not what typical human beings wake up craving to abide by. But when you’ve got paps scavenging for photos, Instagram and Snapchat posts that simply need to be the best, and a steady slew of gigs which are in the public eye, there’s a lot of pressure to look good. Some stars consume over 5,000 calories a day (a.k.a.

Movie producer exposes the ridiculous ways female characters are introduced in scripts

Women in Hollywood are often victims of sexism, ageism, objectification and “can you believe she actually wore that?” However, as one LA movie producer has revealed, even on paper, actresses are unable to escape cliched Hollywood tropes. Ross Putman took to Twitter to share excerpts from actual scripts he’s read, detailing the absurd and, surprise, sexual ways female characters are introduced. To protect the anonymity of the writers, all female characters names have been changed to “Jane” and Putman writes in his Twitter bio, “Apologies if I quote your work.”

We’d Like to Invite You to Make a  Dress for Rihanna

Whether you’re a Luc Besson kind of girl or Cara Delevingne kind of guy, here’s the opportunity of a lifetime: Yahoo Style is teaming up with the legendary French director—yes, the man behind The Fifth Element—to host a global costume contest for his next film, the hugely anticipated Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. In the film, which stars Cara Delevingne, Clive Owen, Dane DeHaan, and Rihanna, 8,000 different creatures exist on a space station called Alpha in the year 2580. They want to see your designs, which can be submitted via Talenthouse, and together with Yahoo Style’s editor in chief Joe Zee will select up to 20 winners whose costumes could be turned from a sketch into reality and featured in the final film.  The most important thing to note is that your design needs to include room for arms, legs, and a head. Besson says, “My hope is that by offering a contest like this to artists worldwide, we will gain access to inspired and original creations from a plethora of fresh perspectives, and the film will benefit from this collaboration.” Winners will be featured on Yahoo Style and in the film, plus receive $1000 for their work.
