    10-year-old asks to be excused from school for Women’s Day

    March 8 is International Women’s Day, and one elementary student clearly knows the power a day without a female can bring. Laura Moreschi’s 10-year-old daughter wrote a note to her principal asking her to be excused from school on Wednesday so she can participate in the Day Without a Woman protest. Laura posted a screenshot of her daughter’s letter and suggested that it was written after they talked about civic engagement over dinner.
