Some might say the holiday season is the most wonderful time of the year, but the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is arguably even more magical. Once a year, the most genetically blessed women on the planet — otherwise known as Angels — parade down a runway in extravagant lingerie while some of the biggest musical acts (this year’s performers are Selena Gomez, The Weeknd, and Ellie Goulding, who will be filling in for Rihanna after she dropped out) serenade the lovely ladies as they walk on by.

Lily Aldridge Will Wear a $2 Million July 4th-Themed Bra at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show
Since 1996, Victoria’s Secret has made a bra and underwear set out of diamonds and stones and chosen their favorite model-of-the-moment to wear it on the runway at their annual fashion show. Its first incarnation was a paltry $1 million and Claudia Schiffer was given the honor to show off the diamond encrusted piece. In 2013, Candice Swanepoel wore a $10 million lingerie set and last year, the brand made not one, but two costumes with Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima getting to hold hands

The leggy 1989 singer performed hits like “Style” and “Trouble” while wearing lingerie as her winged model besties strutted their stuff on the glittering runway. But this year, with BFF Karlie Kloss studying at New York University, Swift’s handing over the honor to another member of her girl squad: Selena Gome
