From Good Housekeeping

  • The Talk returned Monday for season 11 on CBS.

  • Ahead of season 11, cohost Marie Osmond announced that she was leaving the talk show to spend more time with her husband, Stephen Craig, and pursue other projects.

  • Cohosts Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, and Carrie Ann Inaba briefly addressed Marie's absence during the season 11 premiere.

  • CBS has yet to replace Marie with another cohost.

It's been three weeks since Marie Osmond's departure from The Talk was announced, and fans are still not okay with it.

The actress caught many fans off guard with her decision, especially since she had only just joined the show last fall when The Talk creator Sara Gilbert decided to leave to spend more time with her family and focus on other projects. Similarly, Marie wrote on Instagram that she walked away in order to enjoy quality time with her husband, Stephen Craig, and collaborate with former showrunner John Redmann on "several other projects."

Even though Marie's departure appeared to be drama-free, the news didn't sit well with some fans. On an Instagram post celebrating the return of the CBS daytime talk show this fall, viewers didn't hold back saying how much they wished Marie was still on the panel alongside cohosts Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood, Eve, and Carrie Ann Inaba. Some even seemed annoyed at how long it took for the panelists to mention Marie's departure in the season 11 premiere episode.

"Not the same without Marie," one fan wrote. "Is anyone going to acknowledge Marie’s absence?" another wondered. "I will sorely miss Marie Osmond 😢," another declared. "Sorry...not watching till Marie comes back," a different viewer declared.
