Taraji P. Henson's Latest Hairstyle Makes Her Look Exactly Like Janet Jackson in '97

"Velvet Rope" forever.

There ain't no Janet Jackson era like the "Velvet Rope" era — and Taraji P. Henson knows it, too.

The actress, who died her hair a bright shade of red back in February, seems to be having the most fun switching up her styles in quarantine. And now she's using her creativity to pay tribute to one of Jackson's most memorable styles of the '90s.

On Oct. 10, Henson posted a side-by-side photo of her hair styled into two high space buns, with a picture of Jackson wearing the exact same look and color nearly three decades prior.

"Just a @janetjackson #appreciationpost," she wrote as her caption. "I Love you."

Her followers were feeling the look as well.

"Love the space buns looks very cute on you," said one person.

"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaass, Velvet Rope," added another.

But it wasn't just Henson's fans who approved. Jackson herself was also touched by the tribute and reposted the photo to her feed a day later with the caption, "luv it. thank u for the luv Taraji."

Hopefully we'll see the pair twinning "Together Again" soon.

Hair fun aside, Henson is staying booked and busy in 2020, despite everything that's gone on this year.

Last week, Variety reported that the star just signed on to host her own talk show on Facebook Watch called “Peace of Mind with Taraji” (working title), alongside her longtime best friend Tracie Jade Jenkins. The show is set to go into production in late 2020 and will focus on mental health and wellness.

We're looking forward to seeing which topics — and hairstyles — she'll be bringing to the table.
