Taylor Swift Channeled Her 1989 Era With a Bedazzled Matching Set

Back during her Red and 1989 eras, Taylor Swift was one of the strongest proponents for a matching set. While she's gone through a few transformations since then, including a hard-edged spin for Reputation and a Technicolor fantasia for Lover, it looks like she's ditched her recent love of cozy cardigans and cottagecore for something a little flashier. In her latest Instagram post, Swift added a dose of glam to her old go-to, wearing a bedazzled icy-blue matching set that included a floral embroidered bustier trimmed in rhinestones and a matching skirt from Miu Miu.

In her post, she referenced her song "Mirrorball," which features on her folklore album.

"Spinning in my highest heels, luv," she captioned her post. And while her heels aren't shown in the photos, the intricate details on her outfit and the shimmer from all the bedazzling are sure to shine as bright as any dance floor mirrorball. Of course, her signature red lipstick was present and accounted for.

Swift's post also mentioned the BRIT Awards, where she was honored with the Global Icon Award at this year's ceremony. Billboard notes that she's the first female artist and the first non-English artist to receive the accolade. Previous honorees are Elton John (2014), David Bowie (2016), and Robbie Williams (2017).

The Global Icon Award is given "in recognition of her immense impact on music across the world and incredible repertoire and achievements to date."

Billboard also adds that Swift is the only female artist to earn seven No. 1 studio albums on the Official U.K. Albums chart during the 21st century.
