Taylor Swift and Stella McCartney have teamed up to create a line of products to celebrate the launch of her seventh studio album, “Lover.”

The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter took to social media to tease the collaboration that features tie-dyed T-shirts, jackets and handbags in dreamy pastels emblazoned with Swift and McCartney’s name.

“It’s been so much fun to work/dream up cute stuff with my friend Stella McCartney to create a line inspired by my new album ‘Lover.’” Swift wrote in an Instagram post, along with a photo of the duo.

In a separate post, the British designer shared a sneak peek of the line, noting that all items were made from sustainable and cruelty-free materials.

“When I started spending more time in London, Stella and I would go on walks, have cocktails and talk about life,” Swift said of the pair’s friendship. “So when it came time to write this album, I name checked her in one of my songs, and when I played her the album she said, ‘Should we do something?’”

While fans await the Aug. 23 release of Swift’s epic 18-track album, the wave of excitement was somewhat tainted by the hefty price tag accompanying the Stella x Taylor Swift collection.

The pale pink bomber satin bomber jacket retails for approximately $2,173 CAD, while a vegan leather handbag containing recycled polyester oils from vegetable waste will set Swifties back an additional $855 CAD.

“Gosh I hope Taylor understands that half of her fans are made of middle class families,” one fan wrote on social media.

“Taylor Swift fans are not rich people,” another said. “So if she wants to sell the collection…”

“I have no idea what amount of ‘fans’ are willing to spend $795 USD for a bag that’s an advertisement or almost 2 grand for a jacket,” an upset fan tweeted. “Unreal. I’m assuming it costs less than $10 to produce.”

Despite the designer prices, many of Swift’s fans are eager to get their hands on the limited edition collection, no matter the cost.

“This is all I’ll be wearing for the next year,” an excited Swift fan wrote. “Get your credit card ready.”
