A teacher who was suspended for posting sexy selfies on Facebook has quit her job, revealing she “couldn’t go back” after the news went viral.

Lydia Ferguson, 39, had an ongoing dispute with senior staff at Ousedale School in Buckinghamshire, England after “provocative” snaps that featured her bare legs and cleavage were brought to attention.

Students petitioned for Ferguson to be reinstated after she was escorted off school grounds in March— but the mom-of-three said after battling the school for more than two months she had to resign, The Sun reports.

“After it all blew up I knew I couldn’t go back to the school. I’m no longer employed there.

“I just don’t want the stress of it anymore, my family have been through enough of it. It’s taken up quite a lot of my life which has been quite hard,” she said.

For four years, Ferguson worked at the secondary school as a full-time learning mentor, helping children with behavioural problems.

At the time of her suspension, one pupil told the Mirror they had overheard a conversation between teachers: “Miss Ferguson was saying she didn’t think there was anything wrong with the photo. All it was showing was a bit of leg.”

The student petition, called “Get Miss Ferguson Back,” has garnered more than 250 signatures so far, some of them coming from parents.

It accuses the 2,000-pupil mixed school of being “too prudish” for their own good.

“There is nothing wrong with the photo at all.  We think Miss looks lovely,” one student said.

“She is a brilliant teacher. She is there to help students who have problems like bullying and stuff. She does so much to help us and we’re so upset she’s been suspended,” said another. “Not a single person thinks there is anything inappropriate about it.”
