Teenage girl surprises her prom date by walking for the first time in 10 months

Prom season is a very special time for teenagers. But for this teen from San Antonio, Texas, the night was particularly unforgettable. Not only did she look stunning, but Twitter user Morgan (@aeonianlife) shared a touching video in which she amazes her date, Tarik.

Morgan captioned the post, “After not being able to walk with my own two legs for 10 months… I surprised my prom date with this.” The video has gone viral, with a staggering 8 million views in 24 hours.

The video shows the moment when the young man knocks on her front door. As the door opens, he is amazed to find that Morgan is standing up. As she starts to carefully walk toward him, he runs towards her in pure disbelief. They tenderly embrace, and with tears running down his face, Tarik asks, “How did you do that?”

You can see hands holding crutches just to the right of the hugging couple, just in case they’re needed.

We reached out to Morgan and her date (@tarik_a_garcia) to know more details of her story, but in the meantime, this is what she shared on Twitter about losing her ability to walk.

Not only did Morgan surprise everyone by walking into her prom, she was named prom queen.

Her inspiring story has touched the lives of thousands of people who are sharing with her similar situations. Momo is giving them words of hope.

She also thanked her friends and family for their support on her road to recovery.

We’ve reached out to Morgan and will update with more of her story when we hear back.
