The child, who says her name is Alejandra, was allegedly left at the Baylor Medical Center Dallas on Sunday, authorities say
Authorities in Texas are looking for the family of a child who was allegedly left alone at a hospital's emergency room.
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services shared in a social media post that a child who told authorities her name is Alejandra was “dropped off” at a hospital in Dallas on Sunday.
As of Wednesday morning, no family members of the child had been located.
In a photo shared by the DFPS, Alejandra is seen in a pink jacket with her hair in a ponytail as she smiles at the camera.
Texas law states that a person who abandons a child “without intent to return” could face a third-degree felony charge.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Maria Villegas with the Texas DFPS at 214-901-4649.
