This isn't your mom's fanny pack: This once-hated trend gets a modern update (and we can't get enough)
Belt bags, bum bags, fanny packs or whatever you want to call them — if you had asked me a couple months ago for my thoughts on the returning trend, my hideous childhood neon fanny pack that my mom used to make me wear on trips to High Park would have come to mind.
Fast-forward to present day, I’m asking myself why this trend didn’t come back sooner.
Yeah, I guess you can call me a bandwagoner, but after seeing celebs like Kendall Jenner and Beyoncé repeatedly rock these hip-hugging mini bags the nostalgic trend was sort of hard to resist.
But aside it from being celeb-approved, its appeal is totally up my alley. Now with refined styles, sizes and finishes, the new fanny pack has easily become my go-to bag for almost every occasion. Catch me pairing it with active wear, skirts, peasant dresses and jeans. Needless to say, they’re hands free!
