On Oscar night, fans expect custom designs, couture gowns, and hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of chicness. But Halle Berry managed to accomplish her look with one element that even normals might be in a position to purchase: $159.95 spiky Vince Camuto sandals.

The strappy gold sandals complement the sparkle of Berry’s black and blush Atelier Versace dress. (And wouldn’t they look great at, say, all those summer weddings that are already starting to send out invites?)

Even if Berry is borrowing her dress from the designer tonight, the sandals are a steal compared to a Versace dress. “I was choosing between five Versace dresses this year and this was the winner,” she said of her fashion choice for the night. (It must be hard to be Halle Berry.)

Berry described her look as “glamorous with a sense of romance that made me feel feminine and fresh.” She also made a point to mention her natural hair: “With this look, I celebrate my natural hair by allowing it to be natural and free.”

One reason Oscar-watchers should trust Halle Berry’s advice when it comes to the Oscars? She knows what she’s talking about.
