There's a secret way to shop these Meghan Markle-approved sneakers on sale at Nordstrom

Timeless, versatile and comfortable, a fresh pair of white sneakers is a wardrobe staple for both men and women.

Though many have attempted, few have reached the iconic status of Adidas Stan Smiths, with everyone from President Barack Obama to the Duchess of Sussex favouring the simple silhouette.

In fact, Meghan is such a fan that she has worn the sneakers on various occasions, including during a royal tour of New Zealand with Prince Harry and while volunteering in Los Angeles.

Because of their popularity, it’s rare that this style actually goes on sale, so when you happen to come across a good deal you know you have to jump on it - even if it may be a little unconventional.

Right now the classic sneakers are on sale at Nordstrom, but you’ll have to know how to shop them in order to find the best deal. While the women’s version is still regularly priced at $80, a little retail sleuthing will show that the men’s version is on sale for 20 per cent off right now.

Luckily the shoes are unisex, so as long as you know what shoe size to order you’re all set to snag a great deal. Available in men’s sizes 4 to 18, a simple conversion will help determine which size to order for yourself.

As a general rule of thumb, you’ll want to order one size less than your regular women’s shoe size if you have wide feet, and a size and a half if you have average to narrow feet since they do tend to run large. For example, I normally wear a women’s size 8.5, which works out to a size 7 in this style.
