Rose Bennett is a 21-year-old mother of two living in Pembroke Pines, Fla. Last week, when she ran out of diapers for her 1-year-old son, Ben, she was dismayed to discover that Walmart didn’t have the right size in the brand she liked so she opted to go a size up. The next morning she found Ben cuddling the bag of diapers and had to share the reason why.

Turns out Ben thought the little boy on the packaging was him!

He was so convinced that he didn’t want to let the package go, holding it close to his face.

Though Bennett explained that the boy was not in fact him, she tells Buzzfeed that the little boy is convinced.

“It’s really funny watching him hug diapers,” she says.

Within a couple of days, the tweet picked up more than 23,000 likes and 12,000 retweets. While Bennett is surprised by the reaction, she’s quick to note that this says a lot about representation in branding.

“He looks just like Ben,” she says. “It shows representation really matters. He doesn’t have that reaction to any other brand, any other toys, anything else.”

Bennett plans to keep buying the size and brand of diapers for as long as she can.

“Watching this adventurous kid, who can’t really talk yet, drag around diapers because he thinks it’s him on the bag, it’s just greatness,” she tells Buzzfeed.
