This deli has finally created a menu that gets kids

Dining out with kids can be a chore. Menus tend to have way too many options and, let’s just say, decision-making skills are not the most developed at this age. But a deli in Altoona, Penn. has figured out a way to make things easier – for parents as well as kids.

On Tuesday, Reddit user Nick Moist posted a snap of the kid’s section on the menu at The Deli Mansion Park. On it there are four options: I Don’t Know, I Don’t Care, I’m Not Hungry and I Don’t Want That.

While the menu is clearly poking fun at the unhelpful responses parents get when they ask their kids what they’d like to order, the descriptions for each provide some pretty viable options that will likely please – a hot dog, chicken tenders, grilled cheese and fish stix. Oh, and they all come with French fries so really, how could you go wrong?

Reddit users were quick to jump on board with the menu, the comment section turning into a long, drawn out discussion of how anyone could possibly not like French fries.

“It’s definitely relatable to most people,” Moist tells the Huffington Post. “Whether you’ve had kids or not there has most likely been a time in your life where you’ve had to listen to a parent force the kid to choose their food at a restaurant.”

As for the restaurant, they’re thrilled parents are amused by their humor.

“The parents love it,” deli manager, Brian Stroh says. “That’s what I hear when kids are here ordering with their parents, I don’t know! I don’t care! I’m not hungry!”
