As Kim Kardashian knows, pregnant women are all too often scrutinised for the amount of weight they gain while expecting ? and where they put it on. For some reason, people feel they have the right to comment on it, whether they know the expectant mother or not.

And it?s a part of pregnancy that Australian news anchor Sarah Harris, of Studio 10 fame, is not prepared to accept.

The mum-to-be has addressed comments made about paparazzi pics of her off-duty.

The photos, published by the Daily Mail, show Harris sans make-up and dressed down in a checked shirt and cargo pants as she made her way home from lunch ? and left the newsreader faced with a whole host of nasty comments.

?I made the mistake of reading the comments,“ Harris said on air, about the images. ?Some of them were just revolting, having a go at how huge I am, how fat I am, how ugly I am.

?When you’re pregnant, you do feel very vulnerable and self-conscious about your body.?

Harris decided to take a stand and address her haters live on TV, saying that she refused to let any body-shamers get her down. ?I thought, ?You know what? Bugger it ? I?m growing a baby. This is me, and this is how I get around,? said Harris.

?Once I leave work, I take off my pretty frocks, the heavy make-up and the hair, I take off my spanks which I?m still wearing. That?s what I look like, and that?s OK.?

Harris continued to say that she hopes the photos of her help other pregnant women feel better about their bodies, confessing she?s ?fed up? with the body shaming that happens when you?re pregnant and the pressure that comes afterwards to lose the baby weight.

?Christina Applegate, the actress, said, ?You know what, I?m growing brain matter, I?m growing elbows?,? Harris continued. ?On behalf of all the pregnant women out there who are feeling a little bit flabby and a little bit chubby, I want to say to the haters, ?Get stuffed?.?
