So Thomas Markle Is Planning to Write a Book All About Meghan Markle's Childhood
Today in truly 'ugh, why?' news, Thomas Markle shared that he plans to write a book all about his daughter, duchess Meghan Markle.
Thomas told The Sun that he will write a book “about the good years with my daughter and my fond memories of her growing up.” And in case you've forgotten, Samantha Markle is also writing a tell-all book about Megs, so it sounds like the Kensington Palace press team is going to have a lot on their hands!
Thomas added that the reason why he is sharing so much about his personal life with Meghan and their current situation with the public is because of his daughter and Prince Harry's silence. He says, “if they ever want to speak to me, maybe I’ll quiet down a little bit. But in the meantime I’m not going to become a monk in a monastery and take a vow of silence."
He also claims that he's speaking to the press in self-defense. "I can’t shut up because they have opened the door for a million people to criticize me and my family," Thomas said. “The bottom line is that I’ve done nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. I cannot cut my tongue out and never speak again."
So I guess he's also writing this book out of self-defense and not for attention/a massive pay check...??
