TikTok’s latest viral sound is from The World Darts Championship — and here’s why

TikTokers are using a sound from the World Darts Championship in the newest trend, showing what it feels like to get continuous good news.

At the start of 2023, Michael Smith had one of the best legs of all time, hitting every target precisely. The Professional Darts Corporation (@officialpdcdarts) posted the video and received over 10 million views on the post.

With each dart, the crowd erupted — as they knew history was happening before them.

TikTokers have that same enthusiasm with this sound, whether it has to do with relationships, sports or even the weather.

One of the most popular types of videos in this trend is for guys to show what it’s like when they get the texts they want from a girl they like.

“POV: you have a girl who texts first,” said @iambriancoro. “It be the best feeling.”

The longing for a partner to text first goes both ways, as shown by @aleksiss5.

“POV: boys write first,” she said in her post.

Just as some TikTokers feel good hearing what they wanted from their partner, so were other users when the jobs they applied for responded to them.

“‘We’ll pay you 2k a week,’” wrote @tbvnks in his post. “‘You can work from home. ‘You can also have unlimited time off.’”

Athletes are also jumping on the trend, describing their perfect conditions for a great event.

“POV: The perfect track meet: Weather is good, got a new PR [and] coach says no 4×4,” said @just3van_ in his video.

Just as Michael Smith hit three darts in a row, TikTokers showcased great news in three different ways and are letting the entire app know about it.
