'Today' Fans Are So Emotional After Seeing Al Roker's Rare Instagram

Al Roker is feeling grateful this week.

The Today show weather anchor kicked off a new week by sharing a few heartwarming words about his NBC costars Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie and Sheinelle Jones. Like most days, the 67-year-old father of three joined his Today show family this past Monday to keep viewers up to date on the latest headlines. But after the cameras stopped rolling, he took a moment on Instagram to express how lucky he feels.

“I am so fortunate working with these folks every day,” he wrote alongside a series of photos. In the pics, Al is spotted with Hoda, Savannah and Sheinelle throughout the first half of the day from the news desk to his weather forecasts.

The thoughtful shoutout to his fellow Today cast members immediately melted the hearts of the morning show’s fans. “Love starting my mornings with this group. A fun bunch of what feels like they’re part of my family,” one person wrote. “We love you out here in the audience too!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” another added. “And we’re fortunate to have you greet us every morning!” a different fan said. “Love you all! ❤️,” a follower commented.

Since joining Today in 1996, Al has been open about how it’s changed his life for the better. "The show has given me the opportunity to say yes to so many different experiences and things and people,” he previously told Good Housekeeping. “Places that I just in my wildest dreams never thought I would get to go to."

And ever since the crew returned to studio 1-A after doing portions of the show remotely during the earlier days of the coronavirus pandemic, Al has been excitedly meeting new fans on Rockefeller Plaza. If you ever get the chance, don't hesitate to stop by and say hello to Al and the rest of the crew.
