'Today' Fans Are Really Loving Hoda Kotb's Rare Family Instagram Photos

Hoda Kotb kicked off the summer with the best company around: her family.

Last weekend, the Today show coanchor shared a series of photos on Instagram giving fans a glimpse of how she enjoyed her recent time off. The first picture the 56-year-old NBC star posted was a selfie of herself alongside her mom, Sameha, and sister, Hala, at sunset. The second photo featured Hoda’s daughters, Haley Joy and Hope Catherine, enjoying a meal. Hoda’s family also hung out with other adults who appear to be family friends.

Hoda simply captioned the Instagram gallery: “❤️.”

After fans saw Hoda enjoying a summer weekend by the water with her loved ones, many flooded the Instagram comments section with heartwarming messages. Among the "❤️" emojis, folks thanked Hoda for sharing the sweet moments with them. Others also couldn’t help but notice that Hoda has the same smile as her mom and sister.

“LOVE that ‘KOTB smile’! 😁😁,” one person wrote. “Family fun! It doesn’t get any better than this! 😍❤️,” another added. “Precious family time. Beautiful photos! 💗,” a different fan said. Hoda’s fellow fourth hour Today coanchor Jenna Bush Hager also dropped in to leave a few kind words: “Love these so ❤️.”

The next day, the broadcast journalist posted another photo on Instagram. Sitting in white patio chairs, Hoda and Sameha posed for the camera. Hoda's fiancé, Joel Schiffman, also joined the two for the picture.“❤️❤️,” the Today cohost wrote.

Hoda’s fans loved seeing her spending time with both her mom and Joel. “Aww. So glad you’re with your mama 😍,” a follower commented. “Family is everything! ❤️,” someone else added. “So special, pure happiness on all 3 of your faces!” another wrote.

This certainly won’t be the last time we’ll be seeing Hoda's happy family together. After the coronavirus pandemic impacted their wedding plans last year, Hoda and Joel hope to officially tie the knot soon. She initially told People that she was aiming for a summer 2021 ceremony, but later shared on Today that it might be in the fall instead.

"We can't fly anywhere, what are we supposed to do? It was supposed to be last November," Hoda said on the NBC show. "Maybe this November coming up. That's it. Put it on the calendar."
