Tom Arnold doubles down on Trump’s alleged N-word tape, gives details

On Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Tom Arnold talked about Donald Trump’s alleged N-word tape, which has made headlines this week. Arnold described it as a compilation of clips of Trump on the set of The Apprentice. He said he saw it through friends who worked on the show and that making such tapes is common in the industry.

Arnold, who has known Trump since they worked on the 1991 HBO special Roseanne Barr Live from Trump Castle, seems convinced that the N-word tape isn’t the only damaging one. Arnold now has his own show on Viceland, The Hunt for the Trump Tapes, dedicated to unearthing all of them.

“If you could see one day of Donald Trump on that set, one full day, you’ll realize that’s what’s going on in the White House,” Arnold said. “He’s incompetent; he is racist. He sexually harasses people.”

Mark Burnett, creator of The Apprentice, is a main target of Arnold’s show. Arnold told Kimmel that Burnett is protecting Trump by not releasing the footage, which — if it does exist — is owned by MGM. Arnold also claims that an MGM board member told him that Burnett has instructed board members not to discuss the N-word tape, because Trump is Burnett’s “best friend.”

Arnold is more than confident that the tapes from The Apprentice will come out, mostly because of a Federal Communications Commission rule requiring the filming of conversations between hosts and producers on game show sets.
